MADISON — Roy J. Hoverson, age 63, of 2317 Myrtle St., died on Saturday, November 26, 1977 in a Madison hospital following a long illness. He was born on November 16, 1914 in Keyeser, WI, and had been a Madison resident for most of his life. Mr. Hoverson was a truck driver for 27 years, and worked for the State of Wisconsin for 10 years, retiring in 1976. He was an army veteran of WW II, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post No. 501. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sonia Albright, Madison; a son, James, Stoughton; three sisters, Mrs. Olgo Brooks, Mrs. Bernice Bruech and Mrs. Cal (Jennie) Kelleher, all of Madison; a brother, Paul of Augusta, Georgia; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, in June of 1977. Funeral services will be held at THE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr. on Tuesday, November 29, at 1 p.m. The Reverend Walter Olson will officiate. Burial will be Highland Memory Gardens.
