Funeral service for Adelaide Houser Mayfield, 78, will be Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. John Vogel will officiate. She passed away Monday, October 20, 2014. Mrs. Mayfield was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, and retired from B.B. Comer as a bus driver with 34 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell "Mack" Mayfield. Survivors are her 4 children, Cindy Young (Cliff), Susan Alexander (Roger), both of Sylacauga, Keith Mayfield (Donna), of Childersburg, Rusty Mayfield (Robin), of Sylacauga; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Raegan Letcher, Joshua Letcher, Kevin Alexander, Tai Fossett, Maggie Mayfield, Randale Littles, Shelby Mayfield; 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Daniel Lucas, Micah Fields, Colby Letcher, Kevin Alexander, Shelby Mayfield, and Joshua Letcher. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 22, from 5-8pm at Curtis and Son North Chapel.
