Rose was chosen to be taught the Indian culture and value system and was daughter by both her mother and her grandfather, Carl Wichman. When the Starks retired from dairy farming, Dennis, Rose, and her husband Bob Littlewolf, an Osage Indian from Oklahoma, took over the dairy farm, but raised beef instead of a dairy herd."

Rose Littlewolf, 75, of Tony, died on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, after a nine month illness.

Rose was born in Ladysmith on Feb. 26, 1939, to Ray and Evangeline Stark. She married Bob Littlewolf and David Quagon.

Rose loved animals. She raised goats for many years, owned a horse, donkeys and a llama, but cared especially for her beloved dogs. She could be seen winter or summer mushing her dog team on the trails near her home.

She received a bachelor of science degree from Mount Senario College. She also became an LPN through the nursing program at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. She was a member of Holy Assumption Orthodox Church.

Rose is survived by her brother Dennis Stark of Ladysmith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and Littlewolf and David Quagon.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 3, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith with Fr. Ted Wojcik officiating. Burial was at St. Anthony’s Church Cemetery in Tony.
