Lester C. Davis, 94, Camdenton, died Monday at Windsor Estates Nursing Home, Camdenton. He was born Nov. 16, 1902, in Brumley, a son of E. C. and Rebecca Welchonch Davis. He was married Sept. 22, 1929, in Decaturville, to Effie J. Gregory, who survives at the home.

A lifetime resident of the Lake area, he worked as an auto mechanic with a local Chevrolet dealership first owned by Jack Farmer, then John McCrory and finally Cliff Hulett. He worked with Bledsoe Conoco prior to retirement and was a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: three sons, Robert Davis, Camdenton, Freddie Davis, Springfield, and James C. Davis, St. Peters; two sisters, Gladys Brown, Osage Beach, and Pauline Scrivner, Valley Center, Kan.; three grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One
son preceded him in death.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church, Montreal. The Rev. Don Young will officiate. Burial will be in Montreal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. Memorials are suggested to Montreal Cemetery.
