The Phillies sold him to the Orioles on November 21, 1962. The Orioles included him in a package on December 15, 1962 with pitchers Jack Fisher and Billy Hoeft to the Giants for pitchers Mike McCormick and Stu Miller and catcher John Orsino. The Giants sent to the Cardinals on October 1, 1963 for pitcher Ken MacKenzie. The Cardinals then shipped him along with outfielder Gary Kolb on April 9, 1964 to the Milwaukee Braves for catcher Bob Uecker. The Braves sent him to Denver of the American Association, and he joined the Reds later that season. For his career, the right-handed hitter batted .231 with 16 homers and 70 runs batted in.
