Alvin Bronk, age 86, of Rosholt, passed away on October 23, 2014 at North Heaven Assisted Living in Stevens Point.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alvin will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday October 25, 2014 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Rev. Greg Michaud will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 - 12:30 AM on Saturday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point.

Alvin was born on October 8, 1928, in Manitowoc to the late Emil and Pearl (Eckendorf) Bronk. Alvin graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1946. While in high school, Alvin worked at Bent's Bicycle Shop. Alvin went on to attend and graduate from Lakeshore Technical institute with a degree in drafting. Alvin then started his career working for the Invincible Company in Manitowoc as a draftsman. While Alvin in Manitowoc, Alvin was a member of the St. Mary's Parish Holy Name Society. Alvin's pride and joy were his racing pigeons. He was secretary of the Manitowoc Racing Pigeon Club for twenty-five years.

On August 30, 1986, Alvin married the former Caroline Kulas at St. Adalbert's Church in Rosholt. While living in Rosholt, Alvin continued raising pigeons and was honored to have his handcrafted pigeon coop featured in an article in the Stevens Point Journal. Alvin liked traveling, reading, and watching sporting events. He was especially proud of his gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Caroline; sister Mary Ann (Don) Marek of Manitowoc; niece and Goddaughter, Clarice (Tom) Silbersack of Green Bay; Niece, Cynthia (Dan) Sook of De Pere; Nephew and Godson, Frank A. Ciha of Two Rivers; great niece Emily Sook of De Pere; Sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, along with other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Loraine Bronk and Irene Ciha; Brother-in-law Robert J. Ciha; and nephew Robert (Robby) Ciha.
