KILGORE [Gregg Co.]—Services for Earline Reese Alford, 85, Kilgore are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Sunday at Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church with the Rev. Carlos N. Whitaker officiating.
Burial will be in Pirtle Cemetery under direction of Cunningham Funeral Home, Kilgore.
Mrs. Alford died Oct. 9.
She was born Sept. 2, 1916, in Rusk County to the late Lewis and Mattie Taylor Reese. She attended Silverlake and Pirtle schools, and graduated from Kilgore High School. She was member of Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church where she was in several auxiliaries before moving to Houston, where she was member of Fourth Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by Kilgore Independent School and Kilgore College where she retired in 1986.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include sister, Zeta Lorene Pennie, Houston; brother, Willie L. Reese, Portland, Ore.; nieces and nephews.
