What Jeanne failed to mention is according to the book, Richard Brown and his descendants, Sarah, Joseph's "first" wife, survived him and was living in Salisbury in 1736. Her death is not in The Early Vital Records of Mass. before 1850. Another book, Legislators of the Massachusetts General Court, 1691-1780, says she d. abt. 1736 also.
