Funeral services for Mrs. Diane Jean Coates of West Monroe will be 3pm Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Culver officiating.
Interment will be at Cross Roads Cemetery near Grayson under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
In lieu of the graveside committal service, friends & family are invited to a reception of food & fellowship in her honor at Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mrs. Coates was born on January 6, 1947 in Sherwood, ND and passed from this life on October 17, 2014 in Hallsville, TX at the age of 67.
She was a homemaker, retired caregiver and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Monroe. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother to the grandchildren who were her life and whom she loved so dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William David Coates, her parents, Charles & Viola Blevins and numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Cherise Coates Botter & husband Buck of Hallsville, TX and Veronica Colquette & husband Johnny of Kernersville, NC; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Clark, Brooke Brewster, and Taylor Botter; two great-grandchildren, Destiny & Mylan Clark; three grand-puppies, Maggie, Lilly & Onyx; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
