Announcement in the “Brevities” column of the 28 Jul 1890 edition of the Wilkes-Barre Record (PA) newspaper reads: “Frank Brotherhood died at his home 99 Hanover Street yesterday aged 29 yrs.” (Source: a transcription of the newspaper article which was sent to Find a Grave contributor, LilyPondLane (#47023500), 10 Aug. 1991 by David J. Roarty, Volunteer Research Assistant, Wyoming Historical and Geological Society, Wilkes-Barre.
Announcement in the 30 July 1890 edition of the Wilkes-Barre Record reads: “The funeral of Frank Brotherhood will take place from St. Clemens Church Hanover Street this afternoon at 3:30 O’Clock”. A transcription of this article was sent by Mr. Roarty to LilyPondLane on 10 Aug. 1991. As indicated on Frank’s cemetery lot card from Hollenback Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Voorhis & Murray were the undertakers.
His Hollenback Cemetery lot card reads: Frank died as a result of “Gravel in kidney”, (kidney stones). He was “Buried in Lot No. 1276N1/2 July 30th 1890, removed to Lot No. 1228 W1/2 January 5th 1917, see Permit No 9283”.
According to the same lot card, Frank was not married at the time of his death.
