JOHN T.(sic) BRELAND DIES
Word reached Gulfport this morning of the death Friday of John F. Breland at his home between McHenry and Ramsay Springs. The deceased was a native of south Mississippi and had lived at his present homestead for over 50 years. He was about 80 years old.
Children surviving him include two daughters, Mrs. C.A. Broadus and Mrs. Lyman Baxter, and five sons, Horace, Joe, Gavin, Gail and Lonnie Breland, all living near McHenry.
Mr. Breland is well known as a prominent figure in the development of this section.
The funeral took place this afternoon, 2 o'clock with interment in the family burying ground near McHenry. O.H. Longcoy of Joseph avenue, Gulfport, nephew-in-law of the deceased, attended the funeral.
