SHAW
Departed this life in Paris township, Union County, Ohio, Dec. 30th, 1885, Mr. Harrison Shaw, aged 71 years, 10 months and 10 days.
The deceased was born in Harford County, Maryland, Feb. 20th, 1814, and removed from that part of the State to Ohio in 1843, settling to Paris township where he resided up to the time of his death, a little over 42 years. He reared a large family, most of whom reside in the same vicinity. Two of his married sons live in one of the western states. One child, a single daughter, resided at the paternal home, lovingly and faithfully taking care of her aged mother, for many years a helpless invalid to the time of her death nearly two years ago, and equally attentive and faithful in nursing her father during the years of his weakness and last sickness. The deceased was a man of strong convictions upon all subject and matters that came under his attention, and candid in their expression. He was a good farmer, and by good management and industry accumulated a large share of property. He was well esteemed by his neighbors as an honest man and worth citizen, and will long live in the esteem and affection of the large family that remain to mourn their loss.
