Robert E. Beck age 65 of Oshkosh, died at his home with his family at his side on Thursday, February 23, 2012. Bob was born in Oshkosh on January 12, 1947 a son of the late Louis John and Rita Adeline Miller Beck. He married Victoria Ann "Vicki" Ziemer on April 5, 1969.
Following Lourdes High School, Robert served his country in the U.S.Army and following his discharge entered the Army Reserve until retiring in 1997. He retired from the Oshkosh Corporation. Bob loved being with his grandchildren and spending time with his model trains.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria "Vicki" Beck; two sons, Rodney Evan (Stephanie) Beck; Ryan Robert (Heather) Beck; ten grandchildren, Molly Beck, Ellen Beck, Mitchell Beck, Thomas Beck, Jerald Beck, Robert Beck, Abigail Beck, Evan Beck, Alexander "Benny" Beck, and William "Fritz" Beck; one sister, Joan (Michael) O'Connor; one sister-in-law Virginia Palkovich all of Oshkosh and his father and mother-in-law, Victor and Delores Ziemer, of Shawano. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Rita Beck and his brother, Gerald Louis Beck.
Memorial services will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Roger Erdman officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 AM to the time of service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established to Mercy Medical Center Foundation for the Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center. Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home
