Netta's daughter, Louisa F A Tanger, is the namesake of the Louise Arnold Tanger Arboretum. When the Willson Memorial Building was constructed for the Lancaster County Historical Society in 1956 Louise Arnold Tanger, a naturalist, was a neighbor. She approached the Board of Trustees with a request to be allowed to plant trees on the empty grounds surrounding the building, and they agreed. They also invited Mrs. Tanger to join the board where she took charge of the grounds until her death in 1959. Louisa's son Charles (Netta's grandson) then took her place and served the historical society as its naturalist for many years until his death in 1991
