Theresa, a lifelong resident of Santo Niño, passed away at home. She was predeceased by her parents Vicente and Beroniz Borrego; sisters: Vicentita and Eliza; and brothers: Joseph, Ross, Henry, Ernesto, Fabian, Ruben and an infant brother.

Theresa was survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Sr.; sons; Charles Jr. (wife Theresa) and Eric (wife Patti); four loving granddaughters; Heather, Michelle, Briana and Kristina; sister Marie; brothers: Placido and Rumaldo (wife Mary Louise), and many family and friends.

Theresa was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She attended Santa Cruz High School and New Mexico Highlands University. Theresa taught Business classes in the Española Valley for 28 years. Her favorite hobbies included baking, cooking, traveling and spending time with her granddaughters, family and friends.

A Rosary was recited on 17 July 2014 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Memorial Mass was on 18 July 2014 also at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial was on 25 July 2014 in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
