The subject of this sketch was a kind and loving wife and mother and loved by all her acquaintances. She was a member of the German Lutheran Church and a noble worker in Christianity.
Mrs. Schuman was a member of the Court of Honor and M.P.L. Lodges of Kampsville in which she carried a policy of $1000 in each. She was a Chancellor of the former Lodge and President of the latter.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Kavash at the German Lutheran Church Monday October 7th at 2 p.m. after which the remains were interred in the Schuman Cemetery, followed by the largest funeral procession ever witnessed in Kampsville.
