The following bio is by Betty Venable Phillips - There is not a marker for Temperance Inzer. In the picture were two (maybe three) graves in the Inzer Cemetery with large log-like stones atop them. After years of research on this family, I have concluded that these are the graves of Temperance Inzer, wife of Robert Whitten Inzer and Elizabeth "Betsey" Leavell Inzer, mother of same. I made the top picture in June, 2000 and the bottom in May, 2002. Many stones had been removed during that time. Late 1930s-early 1940s, I would go to this cemetery with family members to clean the cemetery and the stones were neatly stacked much higher than depicted here.
Most of the markers in this cemetery are not inscribed, are unmarked rocks, or no marker at all.
At one time, this cemetery was severely vandalized and many stones were broken and have since been removed from the premises. One grave had been opened and the remains removed. The family of the perpertrators restored the damage and placed a new marker for that grave.
This is a beautiful, peaceful setting and the current owner of the property keeps it in immaculate condition.

Elizabeth "Betsey" Leavell Inzer is the daughter of Edward Franklin Leavell and Rachel Williams of Georgia. For years I have researched the Inzer family who lived in the Trussville-Argo portion of St. Clair and/or Jefferson County with the intention of verifying the Inzer Cemetery interments. The Inzers owned the property where the cemetery is located. Their son, Robert Whitten Inzer pastored a small church that was on the property which was also used for a school. It has long since been torn down.
I have documented all of the children of Robert Whitten Inzer and none of them are buried here. The three graves that I cannot find after searching about 20 years, are Tempie Loveless Inzer, the wife of Robert Whitten Inzer,d 1863 and I believe to be the first grave entered in this cemetery; Betsey Leavell Inzer, d c1875 wife of Robert Dowdy Inzer and mother of Robert Whitten Inzer; and Fannie Inzer, d 1881, wife of Eugene Henry Inzer and daughter-in-law of Robert Whitten Inzer.
I have lived near this cemetery all of my life (80+ years) and have several family members buried here. See the memorial for Tempie Loveless Inzer and Mary Frances "Fannie" Inzer for other notations.
