Louisa was born in Kassal,Hesse, Germany. She came to America when she was 24 with her older sister Elizabeth BLESSMAN. She not only followed her sister to America, she followed in getting a good man and getting married. Eliza married in one month after coming to York to Christian BRISTOL and Louisa married Edward BLENDER of Benedict July 11,1874 only after being in this country for 2 months. Her husband, Edward was also of German descent. She gave Edward 10 children. Fredrick died as an infant. He was the first of there little brood to pass on. Louisa was a 43yr. member of the Local Luthuren Church. She was loved and we will miss you.
