Obituary - Thea Abbie Norman Stephens, age 70, died Tuesday Jan. 29, 1991 in Salt Lake City.

Born July 2, 1920 in Farmington, Utah to Ruby Ward and Isaic Bybee Norman. She was the sister of Ione, Wanda, Sylvia, Haven and Morris. Graduated from Davis High School in 1938.

Married Zera Oliver (Steve) Stephens Sept. 12, 1945 at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1977. Mother of George Edward Wright Jr. and Emma Ruby Stephens. Devoted grandmother and guardian of Etta Ruth Stephens to whom she was sealed in 1988.

Active member of the LDS Church having served as MIA president, Drama director, Ward Singles representative, secretary in various organizations, 10 years in Primary and sang in the ward choir. Avid Genealogist. An energetic volunteer, she was well known city wide for her contributions to KSL Television, SLC Fire Dept., Utahns against Hunger, the Animal Shelter, Primary Hospital, Deseret Industries, Salt Lake Community Ed. Nursery, Salt Lake Police Dept. and was a lifetime member of PTA. She was a neighbor of immeasurable good will.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. in the Salt Lake State Center, 142 West 200 North, where friends may call from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers Mortuary.
