Wanema Womack Bullard passed away on October 14, 2014 at her Ardmore residence. The daughter of the late Bob Womack and Stella Townsend Womack, Wanema was born on November 5, 1938 in Tussy, Oklahoma and passed away on October 14, 2014 at her Ardmore residence.

A long time Ardmore resident, Wanema grew up in the county line area and graduated from Velma High School. She continued her education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, graduating in the class of 1966 and then received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from East Central University. A resident of Ardmore for the past 40 plus years, returning here from Hagerman, New Mexico.

Wanema was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years at Charles Evans Elementary in Ardmore. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The Daughters of the American Revolution, The United Daughters of the Confederacy and had also done volunteer work at the Ardmore Veterans Center.

Survivors include her brothers, Ray Womack of Duncan and Clyde Womack of Velma. Her parents and a brother, Terry Womack, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Wanema will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 in the Centennial Chapel of the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Foster Cemetery.
