CLUTTON.- CHILD DROPPING.- Recently a fine infant boy, neatly dressed, was found on the side of the turnpike-road on the Flat-Hills, above the Warwick Arms Inn. It was late at night when Mrs. Perry, the wife of a farmer, was just about to retire to rest, when she heard a weak cry like the cry of an infant. She listened, and hearing it repeated, she felt uneasy, and called her husband to go out and listen, and on going round the premises he found an infant, about six weeks old, left to perish with hunger and cold. He took it up and brought it into his house, and his wife, a kind mother, at once attended to the wants of the helpless little creature and supplied it with food. It is now in Clutton Union Workhouse.
