Frank Esker, 73, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Michael McMahon, of Dieterich, Illinois on November 17th, 1917, after an illness of several weeks.
He was married to Mrs. Mary Goeckner in 1873 and had ten children, four of whom preceded him in death. Besides his wife, Frank leaves six children: Barney of Idaho, Mrs. Lizzie McMahon of Deterich, one brother, Tony Esker of Teutopolis and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services were held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Deterich on Tuesday by Rev. Fr. O. J. Warnet. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
