A. G. Porter, 84, Retired Farmer, Dies
Albert G. Porter, 84, of 427 Burlington Ave., retired fan died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the Campbell Nursing Home
1218 North St. He had been in failing health for some time. Born June 11, 1879 in Cass county, he was the son of Alpheus and Amanda Sager Porter. He was a member of Burrows Presbyterian Church and had belonged for more than 50 years to Tipton Masonic Lodge.. He was widely known in Cass county having served on the Cass county Council several years ago. His marriage was to Jessie M. Yost.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Ralph and a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Penn, both of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren. One son, Glen, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at McCloskey-Hamilton-Kahle Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today. Final rites will be there at 10:30
a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. H. C. Scapin of Flora will officiate and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
