BRIGHAM CITY - Erma Kate Harper Adams, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, age 90, died on September 18, 2000, in Phoenix. Arizona. She was born in Honeyville, Utah, on September 23, 1909, to Lewis Harper and Kate Barnard. Erma married Myron M. Adams on July 28, 1932, in Logan, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 15, 1950.They resided in between Brigham City and Promontory Point while working the family's dry farm. Later they dealt in machinery sales in Tremonton before purchasing a cattle ranch in Nye county, Nevada,where they remained for 16 years. In 1963 they moved to Blackfoot,Idaho, where they developed a farm and they remained there until Myron's death in 1972. After this Erma returned to Brigham City tobe near her surviving brothers and sister. Erma was active in the LDS Church holding various callings throughout her life. She was a former member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, knitting and crocheting with her friends. She always loved to be needed and was always willing to give a helping hand. Erma was an intense fan of the Utah Jazz Basketball team. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be profoundly missed. Erma is survived by three sons and one daughter: Vernile, Las Vegas, Nevada; John and wife Norlene of Fallon, Nevada; Dean and wife Janet of St. George, Utah; and Kate and husband, Charles Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona. She had l4 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers andone sister. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23, at 1 p.m. at the LDS Church (Central Ward) at 420 South 800 West, Brigham City. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the same location, preceding the funeral. Burial will be at the Brigham City Cemetery immediately following thefuneral services under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
