Known to his family and friends as Charlie, he died in Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring following a brief illness. He retired as a carpenter from the PA Railroad after more than 40 yrs of service. He was a member and deacon of the Memorial Church of the Brethern, Martinsburg and a member of the Fellowship Bible Class. On June 21, 1928 in Woodbury he married Ruth Brumbaugh.
