Reverend Joseph Mathias wrote in his journal in 1831:
Cadwallader married Elizabeth Kastner by whom he had several children he had a handsome patrimony by his father. He was a good scholar a ready clerk in his day. Had learned the art of surveying; and was often called upon to run lines, settle disputed corners, and survey and give draught Of purchases frequently made as well as to write deeds on other pieces of penmanship connected with his profession and by his being ready with his pen. He wrote a Secretary hand or German Text. Many pieces of his writing and draughts are still extant. He was a saddler by trade. Notwithstanding all his patrimonial wealth and scholarship, he seemed not to prosper. He owned a large tract, the domain of his father; now in possession of Andrew Swartz and other adjoining the lower meeting house and lot. By little and more from time to time he sold his lands until it was all gone and wasted away. He lived to the advanced age of 75 years he died Aug. 23d 1812. His wife died a few years after him.

Cadwallader Morris witnessed his brother-in-law Thomas Thomas' will dated 27 May 1778 in Hilltown Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
His death notice was printed in the newspaper, "Pennsylvania Correspondent and Farmer's Advertiser" on 31 August 1812.
