Virginia I. Lawton
Virginia Irene (Ginny) Lawton, 86, Corydon, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at her home.
Born Dec. 14, 1927, in Pekin, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ben and Alma Daily Woodward.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Woodward, and a sister, Eleanor Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Howard B. Lawton; two sons, Jim Lawton and David Lawton, both of Corydon; three daughters, Harriet Neal of LaGrange, Ky., Mary Ann Cartee of Decatur, Ala., and Laura Lawton Hess of Depauw; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 9, after 11 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Pallbearers: Clint, Jim, David and Gayle Lawton, John Denbo and James Stewart.
