Agnes was born to James and Margaret Anderson in St. Louis de Gonzague, Beauharnois County, Quebec, Canada. Agnes was the eighth child of ten children, born to this couple.

Her siblings were named George J., Elizabeth (lizzie), Jean (geene), Janet, Margaret (maggie), Darling, John, Mary, and James.

Agnes married George Young (his second wife) on 19 Jul 1892 in Presbyterian Church Beauharnois and Chateuaguay by Minister: James Miller Boyd.

George and Agnes marriage was blessed with three daughters; their names are (1) Alice M. born 26 Feb 1894, (2) Mary H. born 06 Oct. 1896, (3) Voilet H. born 31 Mar. 1900.

George had two daughters by his previous marriage to Margaret (Baird) Young,and these girls are 1) Alma J. born 26 Jan 1883 and 2) Ida M. born 01 Dec 1884 At this time Georges' mother was living with them; aged 87.
