Graveside services for Ms. Jean Battle were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, from East Lawn Cemetery with Rev. John Stephens officiating. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Battle, 82, died on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
She was a homemaker. Ms. Battle was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bessie Sullivan Singleton; husband, Grady Battle (1995); son, Ronnie Battle (2013); grandson, Kevin Battle (2012); two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors are two daughters, Doma Whitley of Philadelphia and Cathy Adcock of Philadelphia; two sons, Bobby Steely of Louisville and Gary Battle of Philadelphia; three sisters, Rachel Stewart of Meridian, Ruth Cumberland of Philadelphia and Nell Bozard of VanCleave; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Jessie Battle, Steve Adcock, Dylan Whitley, Tyler Partridge, Jeff Allen and Terry Breedlove.
