Funeral services for Mr. Ronnie Battle will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 7, 2013 at John E. Stephens Chapel. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mr. Ronnie Battle, 61, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He worked 30 years for Kirby Inland Marine. He was chief engineer of the riverboat. Mr. Battle enjoyed trading knives, chickens and working in the yard. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Mr. Battle was preceded in death by his father, Grady Lamar Battle and his son, Kevin Battle.
Mr. Battle is survived by his wife, Anna Battle of Philadelphia; mother, Jean Battle of Philadelphia; daughters, Laurie Price of Philadelphia; Jennie (Brook) Bobo of Carthage; mother-in-law, Olive Meaders; sisters, Doma Whitley of Philadelphia & Cathy Adcock of Philadelphia; brothers, Bobby Steely of Louisville & Gary Battle of Philadelphia; (5) grandchildren, Blake Howell, Hayley Smith, Sydney Battle, Axl Battle & Little Will Bobo; several nieces & nephews.
