The Reading Eagle Newspaper carried her obituary February 15, 1915, page 6. As follows:
"Was Ill a year, Passes away at the Advanced Age of 86 Years, Mother of Two Sets of Twins, All Living"
Mrs. Christiana Focht, widow of Charles Focht, aged 86 years, died of a complication of diseases at the home of her son George Focht, 245 South 4th Street at 10:20 am Sunday. Mrs. Focht became ill exactly one year to the day she died, February 14, 1914. She was bedfast the last 3 weeks.
Deceased was a native of Germany and came to this country when about 25 years of age. Directly after arriving, she came to Reading and has lived here practically all her life. Since her husband died 33 years ago, she has been living with her children. She has resided with her son George for two years. She was, until a few years ago, one of the most active members of St. John's German Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Focht was the last of her family. Surviving are five children: Benjamin, August, Henry and George of Reading, and Mrs. Alice Pierce of Philadelphia. She was the mother of two pair of twins, Henry and George Focht, being 52 years of age, and Benjamin and Mrs. Alice Pierce, being 55 years of age. There remain 17 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren
