Mrs. W.H. Smith died at the home of her brother, Mr. J.C. Pennington in this city, Friday, December 21st. after an extended illness. The funeral services for Mrs. Smith were held at the chapel of the Joseph A. Moore Funeral Home at three o'clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. Horace S. Smith officiating. The following acted as pall-bearers; Messrs. S.D. Stembridge, Guy Torrance, Ray Holsenbeck, R.L. Nelson,
H.T. Cline, R.W. Hatcher, Sam Terry. Mrs. Smith before her marriage was Miss Willie Belle Pennington, and was born at Pennington, Morgan County, December 21st, 1882. She was the daughter of the late Mr. John C. Pennington and Mrs. Mary Floyd Pennington. She came to Milledgeville to make her home a number oy years ago and was a devout member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Smith and a adopted daughter, Mrs. Aubrey Logan of Macon, three brothers, Messrs. M.F., J.C. and J.L. Pennington of this city, three sisters, Miss Fletcher Pennington of Milledgeville, Mrs. W.G. Smith of Macon and Mrs. W.H. Donaldson of this city. Those who have been bereaved have the sympathy of many friends.
