Mrs. Jean "Tootsie" (Colaci) Tomasiello, 84, of Waterbury, formerly of Blueberry Hill, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014. She was the widow of Diego F. "Danny" Tomasiello.

Jean was born in Waterbury on Feb. 6, 1930, daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Pesino) Colaci. She was formerly employed at Country Christmas in Waterbury. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Louis Tomasiello and his wife Jill of Wolcott; a daughter, Diane "Dee" Tramuta and her husband Allen, with whom she lived, of Waterbury; three grandchildren, J.D. Tramuta, Anthony Tomasiello and Alicia Tramuta; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Victor Colaci, and a sister, Marie Jamele.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Abbott Terrace and the VITAS Inpatient Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital for all the exceptional care and compassion given to Tootsie during her stay.
