AREA OBITUARIES
Henry Clarke

AKRON, Iowa--Henry Clarke, 98, of Akron, formerly of LeMars, died Wednesday in the Akron Convalescent Care Center after a long illness.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the LeMars Public Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Wolff officiating. Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clarke was born May 25, 1889, in Stanton Township, near LeMars. He married Eva Burrill Sept. 11, 1912, in Stanton Township. He was a resident of a nursing home in LeMars for many years before moving to the Akron Care Center May 30, 1986. Mrs. Clarke preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, George of Mexico, Mo.; a daughter, Lois Sankpill of Orange Park, Fla.; a sister, Irene Schoenrock of Hartley; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
