Violet L. Jones, 67, of 3301 W. Richwoods, formerly of 914 S. Shelley, died Wednesday, April 10, 1996, at Sharon Woods Health Care Center.
Born Dec. 27, 1928, in Peoria to John C. and Amanda A. Crook Ernst, she married Clifford R. Jones. He died May 3, 1989, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by three brothers.
Surviving are one son, William J. of East Peoria; two brothers, Ralph Ernst of Dallas and Albert Ernst of Peoria; and three sisters, Mary Taylor and Shirley Broyles, both of Peoria, and Betty Helton of Lincolnton, Ga.
She was a waitress at Grant's store in the 1940s.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
