Former Lafayette resident, Douglas Duane Crossler, 23, died unexpectedly Friday [Oct. 10, 1986] in his Reno, NV, residence. Born at Spokane, WA, July 23, 1963, he had lived in Lafayette before moving to Reno 2 1/2 years ago. He was a 1981 graduate of Jefferson High School. Mr. Crossler was recently employed at McDonald's in Reno as an assistant manager.

Surviving are his stepfather and mother, Richard and Ruth Prophet Kennedy of Lafayette; his father, Gene Crossler of California; three brothers, David Crossler, William Crossler, both of Lafayette, and Jeffrey Crossler of Fort Lee, VA; a half-brother, Carl Redinbo, Jr. of Lafayette; two half-sisters, Carolyn (Mrs. Joe) Hardesty and Peggy (Mrs. Clifford) Clark, both of Keokuk, IA; one step-brother, Mark Kennedy of Lafayette; a step-sister, Jean (Mrs. Tom) Poore of Lafayette; paternal grandmother, Faye Smith; and paternal step-grandmother, Adella Kennedy.
