Hanna City - Ruby Jeanette Purdum, 87, of Hanna City passed away at 11:19 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington.
She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Macomb, Ill., to Samuel W. and Blanche (Jennings) Hendrickson. She married . . . . He survives.
Also surviving are her son, . . . ; daughter, . . . ; two granddaughters, . . . ; four great-grandchildren, . . . ; two sisters, Joan Ausbury and . . . ; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jeanette worked at the Hanna City State Bank for five years and then worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 17 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Macomb.
She attended Western Illinois University Academy and Brown's Business College.
Jeanette was also an accomplished pianist.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour before services at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded following services, with burial of ashes in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Hospice or Farmington Country Manor.
