Judith A. "Judy" Chapman, 67, formerly of Helena, died Friday of cancer at the home of her daughter.

Services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Pondera Funeral Chapel in Conrad. Cremation will take place following the service.

Judy is survived by daughters, Anne (Rusty) James of Helena and Leya (Kevin) Johnson of Conrad; son, Michael (Judy) Chapman of Boise, Idaho; sisters, Mary Ellen (Nick) O'Dell of Helena, Susan (Don) Olinger of Galesberg, Ill., Shelley Kruckenberg of Helena; brother, David Simpkins of Helena; four grandchildren, Jesse James, Zach James, Amber Johnson and Willie Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Chapman, in 2000; parents, Frank and Marie Simpkins; sister and brother in-law, Janice and Jorge Wood; and a brother, Walter James Simpkins.

For those planning on attending the funeral, the family requests you bring a bouquet of garden flowers to place in vases provided, as these were Judy's favorite.
