Mrs. Swaim Dies In Fort Worth
Funeral rites for Mrs. Jo Anna Swaim, 53, of Fort Worth, were held here Saturday afternoon at Glen Rose Funeral Home Chapel with Elder A. D. Wood in charge.

Mrs. Swaim is believed to have died about Dec. 30, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her body was found Jan. 4. She had been reported to be despondent over failing health.

Born and reared here, she was a daughter of Sofia Newman of this city.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Katie Ann Dickerson of Emmett, Idaho, Mrs. Eva Darlene Buckhart of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Frankie Marie Lewis of Santa Clara, Calif.; five brothers, John Newman of Oklahoma, Walter Newman of Colorado, Otho Newman of California, Joe Newman of Colorado City and Edwin "Big Boy" Newman of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Bullion of Raymondville, Mrs. Randy Wilson of Shamrock and Mrs. Carrie Robinson of Fort Worth, and eight grandchildren.

Burial was made in Post Oak Cemetery under direction of Glen Rose Funeral Home.
