Daughter of Miron Munn of New York and Barbara Green of Vermont.

Wife of George Albert Copsey of New York, married on 18 November 1858 in Seneca, Crawford County, Wisconsin.

"Miss Katherine Munn was born in Saint Lawrence County, New York on June 14, 1843 and died at her home in Ansley, Nebraska, on March 8, 1927, aged 84 years, 8 months and 24 days.
Miss Munn was united in marriage to George A. Copsey in the state of Wisconsin, November 18, 1858. To this union were born six children: Artemus, who died in 1909, Mrs. Ella Polkenhorn of Iowa, Harley of Gretna, Nebraska, Mrs. Rose Fletcher (deceased), Mrs. Effie Gardner of Broken Bow and Raymond of Ansley.
In 1863 Mrs. Copsey was left alone with two small children while her husband went to war. At the close of the Civil War, Mr. Copsey returned to his home in Wisconsin and in the fall of 1878 he brought his wife and five children to Custer County, Nebraska near Westerville, where they lived until they moved to Ansley in 1896.
Mrs. Copsey professed her faith in Christ early in her married life and continued to believe in Him unto the end. Always throughout the years she continued to do what she could to help her neighbors in their time of need. She was an efficient nurse and went about this ministry when occasion called.
She always loved to have children around her and raised besides her own children, three grandchildren. They too acknowledge with gratitude her motherly love and care.
For the last eight years, Mrs. Copsey has been an invalid. But during all this time she made the care of her children light by her constant patience and cheerfulness. She was not fretful or resentful because of her sickness. She continued to live because she wanted to and found it a joy.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with Rev. G.A. Schwabauer, pastor of the M.E. Church in charge and was largely attend by her friends throughout the county. Interment was made in the Ansley Cemetery."
