Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 24, 1990 in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Glen Rose, Texas. Violet Wood was born August 6, 1907 in Eastland County, Texas. She was married to the late Elder A.D. Wood on December 14, 1924. She served as a wife, mother and homemaker all of her adult life.
Violet Wood is survived by a son, William Wood of Madison, Ga.; a daughter, Lois Beth Mehaffie of Cleburne, Texas; a brother Omer Neeley of Littlefield, Texas; four sister, Mrs. Nell Wood of Muleshoe, Texas, Mrs. Rhuia Norman of Wellinton, Texas, Mrs. Virginia Albright of Lubbock, Texas, and Mrs. Noami Bradley of Corpus Christi, Texas; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by four children and two brothers.
Pall bearers are Doss Allard, Brian Wood, Bearen Els, Buddy Hood, Larry Wood, and Dale Wood.
Interment will be in the Post Oak cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home. The services will be officiated by Elder Dan Newman and Elder Weldon Walker.
