"Henry (Heinie) Stichter of Le Claire died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday in Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.

A resident of Le Claire most of his lifetime, he was born Dec. 23, 1881, in Princeton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Stichter. He was married to Lila Sweeney in Davenport in 1903.

Surviving are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. William Daugherty, Mrs. Ernest O'Brien and Mrs. Elmer Jugenheimer, all of Le Claire; a son, Henry, Jr., of Le Claire; a sister, Mrs. Harry Schaffer of Princeton; three brothers, Louie of Princeton, and Andy and Edward of Le Claire; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the McGinnis funeral home followed by burial in Glendale cemetery, Le Claire." Quad-City Times, May 6, 1951
