Martha Irene Gibbs, 74, of Mart, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, at Aderhold Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Pastor Lester Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in Gerald Cemetery.

Martha was born in Borger, Texas, to the late George O. and Anna Dale (Horn) Gibbs. She attended school in Clifton and was a 1956 graduate of Axtell High School. Martha owned her own quilting business called Martha's Quilting. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, knitting, and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include sons, Chuck Mills and wife, Donna, and Velton Mills, all of Houston; daughter, Thiry Kincaid and husband, Rick, of Spring; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: O'Neal Gibbs and wife, Lois, Dan Gibbs and wife, Nancy, and George T. Gibbs and wife, Vickie; sisters, Sarah Newell and husband, Gerald, and Ann Gibbs; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
