Mac was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Marvin DeWeese, mother, Viola Overman DeWeese, brother, Ronnie DeWeese and sister, Geraldine DeWeese Putnam.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, one son, one daughter, two grandsons and great grandson, step grandchildren, sister of Maggie Valley, N.C. and brother of Ellenboro, N.C.
He was a member of Center Pigeon Baptist Church. Mac and Mary Alice were owners of Absolute Fire and Safety.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at Swannanoa Heights Baptist Church, 222 Fountain Way, Swannanoa, N.C. At other times the family will be at 120 Mill Rd. Asheville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Swannanoa Heights Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Sky View Memorial Park.
