MRS. KATE TICER WORD, 82, of 1648 Gowan, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at her home after a long illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memphis Funeral Home on Union with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. She was a Baptist. She was the widow of Pete Word. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Marie Chambers and Miss Shirley Ticer; two sons, Albert Ticer and Bill Ticer, an a sister, Mrs. Margaret Talbert, all of Memphis, 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
