Reuben Darrel Iden, 85, of 24 Wellington Ave., retired electrical engineer for the Ohio Edison Co., died in Mansfield Memorial Homes Saturday after an extended illness. Mr. Iden was born in Hilliard, O., Aug.4, 1892, and was a long time Mansfield resident. He retired from Ohio Edison in 1957 after serving 41 years. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Ohio Northern University. He was past president of the Rotary Club, a member of the Institute of Electric and Electronic Engineers, Frank H. Marquis Lodge No. 690 F&AM and Retmen's Club. He was a former board member of Mansfield Memorial Park, a member of the First Congregational Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Klein Iden; a daughter, Dr. Margaret Ann Iden of Boulder, Colo; and a brother, F.Raymond of Upper Sandusky. Services will be held at Finefrock's Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Barnett, associate pastor of the First Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
