Wilma Jewel Miller was born September 13, 1924, in Birch Tree, MO the daughter of Amos Richard and Jessie Lavada Brake Smotherman. She departed this life on November 26, 2006, at Mountain View Healthcare in Mountain View, MO at the age of 82 years.
She completed the 8th grade and years later married Ashley Miller in Ironton, MO and to this union one son was born: Denny Ray.
Wilma was a member of Chapel Hill Church. She was a very friendly person who loved to sew and loved the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ashley Miller; one brother, Dwain Smotherman; four sisters, Opal Thurman, Beulah Jones, Dessie Allen, and Virginia Miller.
Wilma is survived by one son, Denny Ray Miller of Mountain Grove, Mo; one brother, Herschel Smotherman of Birch Tree, MO; two sisters, Lola Rosenbum of West Plains, MO, and Edith Asplin of Mountain View, MO.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Yarber Chapel in Mountain View, MO with Rev. Paul Ordway officiating. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Mountain View, MO with arrangements under the direction of Yarber Mortuary.
