Son of George(1856-1915) and Laura(1862-1957) Heidt. Sister of Charles Heidt(1884-1939),Ella Heidt (1887-1917), Della Heidt (1887-1896), George Heidt (1888-1951), Fred Heidt(1890-1914), Elmer Heidt (1893-1976), Lester Heidt (1895-1969), Elsie Heidt Haskell (1899-1985) Mary Heidt (1903-1924), Florence Heidt Bauman (1906-1930), and Mabel Heidt (1909-1924). Family joker. Enjoyed having a good time. Served his country during World War I. Bert was said to have married briefly, but it was a short union. He became diabled during World War I, and lived with his mother until her death. He lived in the back of her home and had a little beer garden. Bert was loved by all who knew him.
