Homer Preston Detweiler was the son of Christian F. Detweiler and Esther B Miller Detweiler. On 4/15/1911 Homer married Anna S. Ramsey. Homer and Anna had eight children: Arthur W., Paul E., William P., Elda Minerva, Harvey Raymond, Jacob, Lawrence, and Jean Detweiler. Homer and their family lived in Hatfield, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania where Homer worked as a weaver at the Townsend Manufacturing Company. Homer died while living in Hatfield. He is buried in the Hatfield Church of the Brethren Cemetery
