Wife of Parham Thompson, b. 20 Jun 1830, Mississippi, d. 01 May 1914, Walthall (old Pike) County MS. They were parents of nine children.

Frances' first husband, Henderson Alford had been a private in Company H of the 39th Mississippi Infantry (Dixie Guards) and died on June 7, 1863 during the seige of Port Hudson on the Mississippi River. They were parents of six children. As a widow, she remarried to Parham Thompson and he adopted all but the oldest son, who was 15 at the time of adoption. Children:
